DOMINO - HANDBOOK FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD
“Domino” presents 210 specific proposals and ideas as to how citizens, the state and companies can move hand-in-hand towards a world that is better able to solve tomorrow’s problems.
To meet the challenges of our age, we not only have to focus on global phenomena such as climate change or imbalances in the world economy, but also on our own everyday behaviour. When we satisfy our needs, we push over innumerable dominos every day – and initiate cascades with sometimes surprising, and sometimes even global consequences. Existing governmental, social and economic systems decide how the rows of dominos are arranged at any given time, where they are going to fall, and what impact they will have. But none of these systems are abstract and beyond our reach. Each of us can decide whether and how these rows of dominos should be changed, toppled or preserved so that our everyday activities make the world more sustainable on both a small and a large scale.
